This is so accurate with regards to my students. My “nerds” don’t often fit the TV stereotypes of nerd, but they are the students that have a natural curiosity about whatever we are learning.
I feel so sorry for my students that are “too cool for school.” They must wander around their lives so bored, missing out on so much beauty and truth.
I hope to God that my son is a nerd one day. I will try my best.
